Amber Heard in Alessandra Rich Spring 2012 at The Rum Diary European Premiere in London And a Look at the Collection

Amber Heard is slowly, but surely becoming one of my favorite starlets to see on the red carpet. She definitely has blonde bombshell appeal and I love that her ensembles of late have been covered, but still extremely sexy, showing that baring skin isn’t the only way to steal the show.

The Rum Diary is high atop my list of films to see and at the European Premiere of the film in London, Amber graced the red carpet in a showstopping dress from Alessandra Rich’s Spring 2012 collection: a long sleeve pale pink gown covered in paillettes. She accessorized with nude Lady Peep Patent Leather Platform Pumps ($895) from Christian Louboutin, tiny drop earrings, a subtle blush pink lip and an amazing updo. Totally flawless and an amazing choice, being that Alessandra Rich is one of my favorite designers.

Alessandra Rich’s Spring 2012 collection features her signatures including form-fitting silhouettes, femininity at its peak and interesting couture-like detailing. So many of the looks have a retro vibe with tie necks and neck scarves, really harking back to old Hollywood. Waists are often cinched, creating that hourglass bombshell shape which is always so coveted. I also love that pants were included in the form of jumpsuits in navy and black with white contrast lapels, calling forth 70’s chic.

The detailing is what always sets her designs apart and Spring is no exception with paillettes, sheer chiffon puff sleeves, lace and so much more. Rosario Dawson, La La Anthony and Solange Knowles are fans of Alessandra Rich’s designs and I would love to see them all in looks from this collection. I truly do not believe that there is anyway that a woman could go wrong in one of these looks.
