The Perfect Red Dress: Issa’s Draped Silk Crepe Dress And How To Wear It

Every woman needs a great red dress in her closet. Can you believe that one of my favorite pieces in the shade is a dress I bought from Old Navy, my junior year in college? It is flowy and sleeveless and works perfectly belted or under a blazer.

Issa has become a go-to dress brand now, thanks to Catherine Duchess of Cambridge. The Draped Silk Crepe Dress is simple and chic and gives us a whole new term to use: LRD for little red dress. It is definitely a standout piece and will look exquisite on a number of body types because of its easy draping. Weather in NYC has reverted back to summer temperatures, thus the dress can be worn with bare legs for now. For Fall, throw on some black tights underneath, black suede booties and a cropped leather jacket.

Here is how you can wear the dress now:

I really don’t buy earrings unless they’re longer than 3″ inches (excluding studs). CC SKYE’s Voyeur Earrings ($150) are beautiful and definitely take on the fringe trend for Fall. A woman really cannot go wrong when buying Prada. Try the Patent Leather Pumps ($720) for the ultimate in nude perfection. Don’t go subtle for night: wear Diane von Furstenberg’s Harri Jewel Embellished Box Suede Clutch ($375) for a statement-making piece.

Issa’s Draped Silk Crepe Dress retails for $540. Visit www.net-a-porter.com to purchase and www.issalondon.com for more information.
