Monique Lhuillier Fall 2017

New York Fashion Week is here again! My how time flies. Monique Lhuillier is one of my favorite brands of all time and one of my favorite shows as well. For Fall 2017, she chose a lookbook format instead of a traditional catwalk show.

The brand is known for its incredible use of detailing and this assortment was no exception. A sheer, metallic dot top was tucked into floral, high-waist culottes, while navy beaded played alongside a tulle ruffle collar.

If I can pair something with sneakers, then I’ll absolutely invest in it! Lhuillier’s separates here are perfect for dressing up and down: puff-sleeve blouses, timeless trousers, sumptuous furs, and cropped collarless jackets.

And few do a gown as red carpet-ready as the brand. I fully expect to see Diane Kruger, Sarah Paulson, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Lucy Liu in these pieces within the next few months. There’s absolutely no way to deny the allure of a colorful, sequin-embellished ensemble with a velvet bow-tie waist, or a black and gold dot gown with studded straps and a bohemian chic silhouette.
