This week has been positively dreary, but it is nice to see someone go for brights despite the rainy weather. Sarah Jessica Parker stepped out for an appearance at “The Late Show with David Letterman” in a hot pink and cherry red ensemble, starting off this week of fashion in the best way possible.
It seems that SJP has developed quite the crush on Prabal Gurung’s designs. She wore his Lace Print Dress last week in Moscow and this week, she chose another look from his Fall 2011 collection: a Caped Blouse and high-waisted double-face techno wool flare pants. She paired it with white pumps, which really is genius considering white patent leather is perfect for the rain as they really will not get damaged. I love that her look is fun and daring and it signals the fact that colorblock is still very much in.
Will Sarah Jessica Parker be sitting front row at Prabal Gurung’s Spring 2012 show on Saturday at noon? Stay tuned to find out.
Prabal Gurung’s Caped Blouse retails for $750. Visit www.saks.com to purchase and see the look on the runway below, worn by Lisanne De Jong.

She has got such courage to put those colors together and definitely the personality to pull it off, I bet she could add a green bag like this and make it all work. http://www.pierotucci.com/bags/fortunata/Fortunata_Leather_Tote_Designer_Handbag_in_color_olive_green_suede_2702.htm
