Shopbop Launches Alice + Olivia Shoes and Video Plus How to Wear the Dahlia Sequin Ballet Flats

Spring has sprung and the first glimpses of warmer weather have shown through. With steamier temperatures comes the need for a few new pairs of shoes. Alice + Olivia has just launched its debut Spring footwear collection and who better to do it with than Shopbop.

Above is a short film exclusive “Fashion Confectionary” showcasing the new styles. It was created by Stacy Bendet, the brains behind Alice + Olivia and indie director Bridget Palardy. Two models are shown in a sugary sweet surrealist dreamworld surrounded by cakes and other dessserts, giving you a literal taste of just how much fun it will be to wear your new Alice + Olivia shoes for the season and beyond. The Noisettes “Never Forget You” plays in the background, adding to the lighthearted and fun nature of the film. It captures all the femininity and charm that the brand is known for and really makes a great case for why you should buy the pieces immediately.

The Juliet Platform Wedge Sandals in leopard ($245) are gorgeous and are a budget-friendly option to the Charlotte Olympia wedges that I’ve featured before. My favorites are the Dahlia Sequin Ballet Flats in gold ($195). I wear heels almost everyday in winter, but when Spring and Summer come around, I want flats! I end up staying out all day and wanting something comfortable but cute to walk around in. Here is how to wear them for the season.

Though world-renowned for her wrap dresses and ready-to-wear, Diane von Furstenberg also has some amazing accessories. Her Belle Stud Satin Shoulder Bag ($495) is a definite must-have. Haute Hippie’s Gold-Speckle Tiered Dress ($395) is perfect for summer nights when you want to stay cool and look sexy at the same time. I’m an avid fan of a great pair of gold hoops and Dominique Cohen’s Textured Open Teardrop Earrings ($450) are perfect for the season.
