New York Fashion Week: DVF Pre-Fall 2018

DVF has always made women both look and feel good. I’m more of a separates girl now, but when I was first starting in the industry with my first job, I would save for her sample sales and buy the one dress that I could afford! So it’s amazing to see just how much Jonathan Saunders gets her vision and has continued her brand’s evolution. Clearly, that’s why she thought he was perfect for the role.

Accessories can uplift even the simplest outfit, thus I loved the way studded fringe belts and lace-up peep toe boots accented pared-down pieces like striped tops and mini skirts.

I’m already enamored with a pair of high-waist, contrast stripe cuffed jeans, though a tie-waist floral frock also has quite the hold on me.

Saunders had a lot of fun with polka dots on crop tops, transparent, high-neck keyhole pieces, maxi skirts, and curve-hugging dresses.

The trousers on display had a real retro vibe—high waists, wide and flare legs, stovepipe silhouettes, and stud embellishment.

Skai Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, Sofia Vergara, and Issa Rae are all fans of the iconic brand, thus I cannot wait to see how they wear some of the pieces here on the red carpet. A sheer turtleneck LBD is just the thing for J.Lo and a ruched floral midi dress would look sensational over the Modern Family star’s curves.
