I’ve been obsessed with Picasso since middle school, thus I instantly fell in love with Jay Z’s ode to the famed painter and all things art named “Picasso Baby”. One of my favorite brands, Paule Ka, was equally inspired by Picasso, influenced by his love for the pottery makers native to the southeastern France commune of Vallauris.
Some other art-inspired trends arise in the brand’s Spring 2014 Arty collection including a nod toward ceramics, punchy rainbow patterns, and Spring-perfect blossom prints. Paule Ka’s founder Serge Cajfinger has a love affair with the Mediterranean and that’s something we share. I’ll be taking my next trip to the Mediterranean in August, when I visit Naples, Rome, the Amalfi Coast, and a few other spots.
There’s still some time before that happens, so right now, I plan on indulging in the Arty pieces Paule Ka has to offer. Click to shop the dress and coat I need to get my hands on this season:
