Fall 2013 Fashion Week is just two weeks away: can you believe it?
Tracy Reese is giving us a little preview of Fall 2013 with a sketch and inspiration behind the collection.
For Fall, Reese is influenced by the grit and glamour of the city of New York. She mixes rich textures and prints on sultry silhouettes: think hourglass dresses to accentuate the female form, longer slim skirts, sweater tunics and bold, heavy jackets and coats. Black anchors the collection (no surprise as it is pretty much the signature color of the Big Apple), though the rest of the color palette is vibrant with shades of scarlet, cerise, teal, aubergine, tan and lychee. Reese is known for her amazing dresses and the above is a classic and flattering Floral Frock in Scarlet, embellished with delicate beading. The frock is accessorized with flat booties for a timeless, functional and impossibly modern look.
