Can you believe that Spring 2013 Fashion Week is already here? Time sure does fly and though we are getting ready for Fall, the fashion industry is always months ahead.
The first collection is from one of my favorite brands: Thakoon Addition. The more affordable and admittedly more functional line from Thakoon, the designs are right in line with the aesthetic of the main brand, with a more contemporary and youthful spin.
The Spring 2013 collection is full of Spring-perfect pieces boasting Thakoon’s signature prints and flirty silhouettes.
There are a number of florals presented, giving us more than enough of Spring’s staple print.
Chambray has become one of my favorite fabrics and it is shown in interesting ways including mixed with eyelet-detailed cotton on a feminine dress with cargo pockets and a strong-shoulder military inspired jacket, as well as a zip-front hoodie that will work perfectly for transitional days.
Eyelet detailing is huge, often mixed with chunky knits for quirky and unexpected pairings.
Some of my favorite pieces in the collection are the easy dresses which you will be able to wear time and time again.
