Viola Davis is up for the Best Actress award at tonight’s Golden Globes and I cannot wait to see if she walks away with it. She did a phenomenal job in The Help and if she did win, I would be thrilled.
At W Magazine’s 69th Annual Golden Globes Celebration in Los Angeles, she rocked a neon double face shift dress from the Resort 2012 collection. She accessorized with simple silver hoops and black pumps. I love this electric color and both Chloe Sevigny and Lauren Remington Platt have worn Resort looks from the brand in the same shade.
This is a classic dress that you can wear year-round with tights and booties for Winter and then with gladiator sandals for Summer. Its eye-popping hue is a great way to add color to your wardrobe and it will look great matched with so many shades from black to red, for a study in colorblocking. The dress is a huge splurge, but would you expect anything less from Michael Kors? You can wear this piece forever, so it is definitely worth it.
Michael Kors’s Dolman Sleeve Shift Dress retails for $1995. Visit www.michaelkors.com to purchase.
