Colorblocking is showing no signs of slowing down. It is one of this season’s hottest trends, as well as one of the biggest for Spring.
I am a huge fan of Reed Krakoff’s handbags and I have featured the brand several times. Though Mr. Krakoff isn’t one to prescribe to trends, even he has been captivated by colorblocking and has thus created some of his signature styles in bright color combinations.
The Boxer Tote (shown above left – $990) is one of my favorite styles and one of his newest versions is in deep orange and fuchsia leather. Perfect for pairing with an all-black ensemble or for even more colorblocking with cobalt blue. For a bag that you can wear for a night out or for running errands on the weekends, try the Standard Mini Shoulder Bag (shown above right – $525) in beige and yellow leather. This will be perfect for Spring with nude pumps and an all-white dress.
One of my newest obsessions is the 510 Tote I ($890). Yellow is my favorite color and this will definitely be high atop my must-splurge list for 2012. I bet you’ve never owned anything in fuchsia python and this might be the time to start. The Kit Bag ($2700) is the epitome of luxury and I can definitely see it being one of the newest “It” bags for the fashionable set.
