Nothing is more necessary for the holiday season than statement-making jewelry. You can opt for metallic sparkle or bright jewel tones, really helping you to stand out from the crowd.
I already know what I am going to wear to kick off the holidays next week: one of my favorite dresses – a silver number from Walter with a plunging neckline and fully equipped with a cutout back and bubble skirt. Only thing is, I now want some great earrings to match! I can naturally go for my turquoise chandelier earrings from Siman Tu, but I was hoping for new statement accessories to give my dress a new twist. KiraKira and Roberta Chiarella have some amazing pieces that I wish I would have found sooner because they are perfect for holiday dressing.
How could you not fall in love with KiraKira’s Kori Bangles ($580) above? It doesn’t matter what you wear with them: all eyes will be on your wrists. They are not only perfect for holiday, but for everyday, even with a white tee shirt and colored skinnies.
Suzanne Somersall is the brain behind the brand. Born and raised in New Orleans, she has loved jewelry since before she can remember. Her hometown is one of the most vibrant and beautiful in the world and that exuberance gave her a strong love for design and color. Her passions took her to Tuscany and Japan where she honed her craft, as well as giving her inspiration for her designs. Suzanne’s pieces are elegant and fun and definitely worth investing in before year’s end.
The above are from Roberta Chiarella and they are some of the most beautiful earrings that I have seen all year. The Mocha Earrings ($38) are an amazing blend of rich colors from her new RC2 collection. The price cannot be beat and neither can the weight which is extremely light in spite of such a full look. You can wear these with virtually anything for holiday (even your favorite LBD) or with a turtleneck sweater dress and over the knee boots for in the office.
Roberta was born and raised in Queens just like me. She learned the craft of design from her father who was an illustrator and advertising art director and then put study behind her skills at Parson’s. She then went on to have some of the most coveted positions in the beauty industry including overseeing L’Oréal’s Designer Fragrance Division, as well as serving as Vice President of Creative for Yves Saint Laurent Beauté. She started her RC2 collection last year and it is slowly becoming one of my favorites.
