Get a Walk On Role in Weeds, Have Lunch with Tory Burch in NYC and More with the Tory Burch Foundation’s Auction on CharityBuzz

Tory Burch launched her Foundation in 2009. As a mother and entrepreneur, she is aware of the importance of providing economic opportunities for women, as well as their families in the United States and thus, that is her non-profit’s aim. We often look at women in positions of power and think that their lives are totally glamorous, but so many powerful women are also working parents, juggling that tricky work-life balance and without support and knowledge, it can become a slippery slope.

The Tory Burch Foundation works to give women key financial tools that will help improve their lives in so many ways. 13 million women in the United States are living in “deep poverty” according to the Census Bureau and this can no longer go unnoticed. Single mothers are the highest at risk for poverty, but are also the most likely to become self-employed entrepreneurs. Once they take that step, they are unfortunately also more likely to be denied a loan from a traditional bank and face a number of other levels of discrimination when it comes to financing their business. This is why Tory Burch has taken on such important leaders and business owners as mentors for her Foundation including Russell Simmons, Patricia Wexler and many more.

CharityBuzz consistently has some of the greatest experiences, benefiting some of the world’s most amazing charities. The Tory Burch Foundation has teamed up with the auction site for some amazing opportunities from a walk-on role in Weeds (one of my favorite television shows), lunch with Tory Burch, a Tory Burch fashion shoot to be profiled on the brand’s blog and so much more. These are once in a lifetime experiences that you definitely do not want to miss out on!

The Tory Burch Foundation Auction listings end on December 7th, 2011. Visit to start bidding now and for more information.
