Elle MacPherson in Alessandra Rich Spring 2012 and Jimmy Choo’s Flaxman Sandals at the 2011 Harper’s Bazaar Women Of The Year Awards in London Plus Three Holiday Perfect Black Gowns for Under $500

Supermodel Elle MacPherson is the latest style maven to wear Alessandra Rich. She rocked a long black gown with puffed polka dot sleeves and a sexy cutout back from the Spring 2012 collection at the 2011 Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards in London.

She accessorized with a small gold minaudiere and Jimmy Choo’s Flaxman Sandals ($995). Elle definitely showed us just why she is a supermodel with this flawless look. I do wish that she would have pulled her hair into a ponytail or a chignon to show off the back of the dress, but it was still an amazing ensemble.

With the holiday season upon us, gowns are a necessity for formal occasions. Here are three amazing black gowns for under $500 that will help you to look chic at any event in the coming months.

There aren’t many things more perfect for the holidays than velvet. Aidan Mattox’s Strapless Gown ($440) combines a velvet bodice with bugle bead embroidery and an amazing tulle skirt, truly allowing its wearer to look like a princess. Sheer fabric done in a subtle way is a surefire way to be sexy without trying too hard. I have a feeling that Holy Tee’s Abbey Lee Gown ($290) was inspired by Abbey Lee Kershaw and it definitely oozes her effortless sex appeal. I can totally see her wearing it! BCBGMAXAZRIA makes some of the best dresses in the industry. The Tasha Strapless Dress ($398) is completely glamorous and will definitely start many a conversation.
