Opening Ceremony Spring 2012

Opening Ceremony is a go-to brand for me when it comes to fun and creative fashion. Humberto Leon and Carol Lim’s designs just resonate with me and I have featured the brand more than ten times, just in case you were wondering how great and necessary I feel the pieces are for a fashion-minded woman’s wardrobe.

For Spring 2012, the design duo did what they do best: merry, feminine and quirky looks that are oh so cool. Prints were eye-popping and vibrant and detailing was at an all-time high in flirty cut-outs, fringe, ruffles and so much more.

What I always love about Opening Ceremony’s selection is that every type of style is touched upon from “ladies who lunch” to boho chic. The brand really represents today’s style chameleons, who aren’t afraid to dabble in everything and change their looks from day to day. There is also an overall functionality to the looks, that isn’t lost in the whimsy or flirtatious nature of the designs.

Solange Knowles is an avid fan of the brand and Chloe Sevigny always manages to rock the pieces from her own O.C. line, so I am looking forward to seeing how they both interpret these looks in the coming months.
