Get Lucy Liu’s Fall 2011 Giambattista Valli Floral Print Wool Crepe Dress, Worn at the Launch of Her Book Seventy Two Hosted by Tory Burch in New York City

Giambattista Valli is really on a roll this week. First, I featured Margherita Missoni at his Spring 2012 Paris Fashion Week runway show. Then, his line for Macy’s. Now, Lucy Liu has worn one of his designs.

Tory Burch hosted the launch for Lucy’s book, Seventy Two in New York City. Since it was her night, she had to wear a glamorous look befitting the occasion. She chose a dress from Giambattista Valli’s Fall 2011 Collection: a black and white Floral Print Wool Crepe Dress.

In a classic color palette, you cannot go wrong with this piece. Like Margherita, Lucy is showing us that floral can be worn for Fall. I love the exaggerated statement-making shoulders. You can wear this now with open-toe booties and even for Winter with a black turtleneck layered underneath, black tights and black suede booties.

Giambattista Valli’s Floral Print Wool Crepe Dress retails for $4040. Visit www.net-a-porter.com to purchase and www.giambattistavalli.com for more information. See the look on the runway below, worn by Jacquelyn Jablonski, as well as some more images from the event.
