As you know, VEDA is one of my favorite brands when it comes to outerwear. Lyndsey Butler really has an amazing understanding of what the modern woman wants from edgy cropped leather jackets to 70’s chic furs.
For Spring 2012, she is taking the brand in a new direction and breaking out from its signature leather jacket niche. Ready to wear is a focus, in non-leather and woven materials including linens and fine silks. In true VEDA fashion, silhouettes are simple and timeless, modern but always feminine. There is really a great deal of sophistication to these new pieces and quite a bohemian feel which I love for Spring. The designs are in contrast to Fall, with a subtle sensuality and an overall softness.
I always love the style names for every VEDA collection and Spring is no different with the Freud Dress (shown above – which will look divine in turquoise), Pollock Jacket (shown above), the Dali jacket (named after one of my favorite artists), the Monet Skirt and so much more.
VEDA’s Spring 2012 collection retails for $110 – $990. Visit www.thisisveda.com for information and see more looks from the collection below.
