New York City weather just cannot seem to decide whether it is Summer or the beginning of Fall, so we fashion-minded people have to layer just in case. Luckily, bare legs and exposed toes are still acceptable and I am happy about that fact as I am not ready to start wearing tights nor boots just yet.
The easiest way to look great when the weather is unpredictable is to go for simplicity. Amanda Brooks did just that when she geared up for Spring 2012 New York Fashion Week, day five. She chose a green three-quarter sleeve dress from 3.1 Phillip Lim’s Fall 2011 collection and paired it with Céline sandals and a PS1 shoulder bag from Proenza Schouler. I love the ease of the look, which is perfect for a long day of fashion shows and walking around New York City. Her accessories are luxurious, but understated, letting the green dress play centerstage. I also love the longer back hemline on the dress, perfect for women with curves for more coverage.
