The September Issues are rolling out. I already featured a preview of Jennifer Lopez’s Vanity Fair cover (on newsstands now) and now Sarah Jessica Parker has landed herself a cover, for Marie Claire.
On it, she rocks a red and pink colorblocked dress from Bottega Veneta’s Resort 2012 collection, worn on the runway by Hanne Gaby Odiele. The September Issues are the biggest of the whole year and the covers should be eye-catching and fun, just like SJP’s. Not only is it capitalizing on a huge trend for the season, but she looks fantastic. In a sneak peek of the fashion spread, she is wearing a gown with a larger-than-life mauve fur bottom from Christian Siriano’s Fall 2011 collection. It is absolutely exquisite and she wears it well.
Here is a great quote from the article, in which SJP talks about being a celebrity: “I never wanted to be a celebrity; I never wanted to be famous. And in my daily life, I work really hard to not trade on it in any way…It’s not like it’s hard to be decent and respectful and well-behaved. I do wait in line, and I do take the subway, and I do do my own grocery shopping, and I do take the kids to school.”
