Was Jimmy Choo Inspired By Carine Roitfeld and Gaia Repossi For Its Newest Collection?

High-fashion designers are no strangers to having “It” girls as their muses. They sit them front row at their fashion shows, make them the faces of their advertising campaigns and name pieces in their collections after them.

I believe the latter is occurring at Jimmy Choo. The luxury accessories megabrand has released styles from its newest collection, aptly named “Carine” and “Gaia”. Could these pieces be influenced by Carine Roitfeld (former Vogue Paris EIC and style icon) and Gaia Repossi (international “It” girl and jewelry designer)? I think so. The “Carine” clutch is perfect for Madame Roitfeld and I could totally see her rocking it, as we all know that leopard is one of her favorite prints. The “Gaia” tote is right up Gaia’s alley: a perfect example of all things luxurious.

I’m interested in seeing whether or not the two are seen carrying the pieces around this year.

Jimmy Choo’s Carine Crocodile Effect Leather and Calf Hair Clutch retails for $1350 and the Gaia Crocodile Effect Leather and Calf Hair Tote retails for $2295. Both are splurges, so save up for one to treat yourself to for Fall. Visit www.net-a-porter.com to purchase. See why Jimmy Choo would be inspired by Carine and Gaia below.
