The Best Turquoise Pieces of the Season: Inspired by Vashtie Kola

Turquoise is one of my favorite colors. It is bright, fun and mixes well with a multitude of colors from brown to yellow.

Vashtie Kola is one of New York City’s “It” girls as well as holding the titles of director, DJ, party promoter and designer. Refinery29 profiled her apartment and her style and in one look, she rocks Motel’s turquoise Jasmine Sweater ($93.60) with vintage Levi’s cut-offs. I love the hipster chic vibe of the look and you can definitely dress it up with killer heels and statement jewelry.

Here are my favorite turquoise pieces of the season.

Home décor is just as important as personal style and Old Hickory’s Turquoise Sofa ($3399) is a splurge, but I have never seen anything like it.  I am a big fan of Prada footwear and the Bicolor Suede Sandals ($720) are the perfect additions to your wardrobe, as they will give any ensemble a pop of color. When you come across a great coat you should always buy it. Diane von Furstenberg’s Harrington Brushed Coat ($695) will make your fall and winter days bright.

If you are looking for a statement necklace for the season, look no further than Stephen Dweck’s Turquoise Pebble Necklace ($795). I love super feminine dresses and Nanette Lepore’s Runnin Wild Dress ($348) will be perfect for running errands with flat sandals or for a night out on the town with sky-high platforms.
