Anyone who knows me well is quite aware that one of my dreams is to have Giambattista Valli design a custom-made dress for me. He has always been one of my favorite designers and has such a beautiful vision, designing pieces that are wearable yet completely unique.
The high-fashion designer will be launching his first couture collection come this July. In a day and age when couture is said to be pretty much extinct, Giambattista is working to revive it and hopefully give it some life and a new-age spin. The show will take place at the Galerie de la Madeleine and is listed on the official Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week Calendar, which is one of the largest feats in the fashion industry and truly an honor.
It seems that his very wealthy and very stylish clients are truly craving some one of a kind designs. Style mavens including Lee Radziwill and Bianca Brandolini D’Adda are fans so it will be interesting to see who sits front row and who buys what.
