If a piece is yellow and draped, you can pretty much guarantee that I will be buying it. Thus, I am enamored with Lacoste + Malandrino’s Drape Dress that combines the two. The capsule collection is a brilliant pairing, since both Lacoste and Catherine Malandrino are solidified French brands with great style and vision. The pieces combine traditional masculine athletic design with Malandrino’s feminine sensibility and the result is perfection.
With the weather finally staying above 50 degrees, it is the best dress to have. It hits the lower thigh and pulls on comfortably, with draping in all the right places for those days when you are not feeling your absolute hottest. I love the yellow shade as it always brings a pop of color to any ensemble and will work perfectly with this season’s colorblocking trend. In Fall and Winter, wear it with grey tights and a grey cardigan.
Here is how you can wear it for Spring.
Bottega Veneta’s Woven Satin Minaudiere ($1220) is a classic piece and its lagoon shade is perfect for adding a splash of color to any look. Simple earrings with just a hint of flair are perfect for easy dressing and Citrine by the Stones’ African Chandelier Earrings ($210) are just that. Nicholas Kirkwood and Erdem Moralioglu are two of my favorite designers and thus their collaboration on the Silk & Suede Strappy Sandals ($850) is an absolute must-have for the season.
Lacoste + Malandrino’s Drape Dress retails for $255. Visit www.shop.catherinemalandrino.com to purchase.
