Britt Maren Will Be Dressed By Nicole Richie for the 2011 Met Ball And Her Top Ten Runway Looks

Nicole Richie is a veritable designer and if you haven’t recognized it, the fashion industry has. She and Victoria Beckham are two celebrity designers who can practically discard the first part of the phrase because their designs are not only incredibly successful, but also well-respected. She will be dressing model Britt Maren in one of her own Winter Kate designs for the Costume Institute Gala which is being held this Monday, May 2nd. This is a huge honor for any designer and I am wondering just how the dress will look. Winter Kate has a very bohemian aesthetic so I am sure Nicole will not disappoint.

Britt Maren is a rising star in the modeling world, known for her edgy hair and icy gray eyes. The Swedish-born model has walked in shows for Fendi, Alexander Wang, D&G, Marc Jacobs, Bottega Veneta, Rodarte and so much more as well as appearing in editorials for Vogue, Love, V, Interview, W and a campaign for Barney’s. Her coveted hair was dyed and cut by Guido Palau backstage at the Balenciaga show and it put her on the map from there on out, though she has now dyed it to a cool auburn. The year is not even halfway done so it will be interesting to see what else Britt Maren has in store for 2011.
