Must-Splurge: Amanda Pearl’s Vera Octo Clutch

I usually let my evening ensembles be the statement makers, but every now and then I go for simplicity, thus needing a great set of accessories to play centerstage. One thing in my life that I am constantly searching for is an elegant, yet functional clutch as one is extremely hard to come by. It can make all the difference for an understated look, really taking it to the next level.

Amanda Pearl has some of the most delightful accessories around. They are chic, yet have a very whimsical and magical element that draws you in and immediately leads you to imagining all the outfits they would look perfect with. I have personally met Amanda and she cited vintage and antiques as a constant inspiration and the influences are completely evident in her designs. The industry has taken notice and some of her fans include Blake Lively, Chloe Sevigny, Hailee Steinfeld and many more.

My newest piece to covet from the brand is the “Vera” Octo Clutch. To the left is Neve Campbell wearing it at the premiere of Scream 4 and upon seeing how she paired it with a subtly sexy dress and statement jewelry, it automatically became a must-splurge. The blue/black micro-sparkle gives that added dose of flash, while still being refined. It is a clear match for the red carpet or for a night out, but I could just as easily see it worn casually, paired with a blazer and dark flare jeans to go along with the season’s trends.
