Fergie in D&G Fall 2011 and A Look at the Collection

Fergie is one of fashion’s daredevils, who frequently takes risks on the red carpet. Her ensembles are always fun and sexy and to be honest, she rarely disappoints.

She was seen at the 2011 Kids’ Choice Awards in a yellow, pink and black alphabet dress from D&G’s Fall 2011 collection. She accessorized with a lime green clutch and hot pink platform pumps, giving the ensemble some extra doses of color. The look was fun and perfect for the occasion. I would love to see more stars in this collection as it is a risk, but definitely makes a bold statement on the red carpet.

D&G’s Fall 2011 collection served to put the fun back in fashion. Most collections of the season are neutral in nature with heavy fabrics and an overwhelming feeling of the chill that is sure to set in, but not this runway show. “Vogue” by Madonna filled the venue and even the catwalk was littered with letters in bright colors.

There was not a sedate moment throughout the whole collection. Colors were bright and boisterous, silhouettes were flirty and 80’s inspired, prints were eye-catching and happy. Cropped turtlenecks, colorblock pencil skirts with chiffon trim, oversized coats, grandpa sweaters, sheer dresses and feather mini skirts were just some of the styles on display. Necklaces with oversized colorful block letters adorned the necks of the models and footwear resembled sneakers, except with platform wedges.

This collection will definitely be a hit with the teenage set as well as the more mature fashion crowd who is looking to add some fun to their wardrobes.
