Buy Natori. Help Japan.

Josie Natori’s name is known globally and is synonymous with luxury and comfort. She built the foundations of her business on her strong Filipino roots and now takes inspiration from her homeland by creating pieces that blend East and West seamlessly.

Though well-known in fashion, home and fragrance, she actually studied Economics, demonstrating exactly why she is such a great businesswoman today. She has the distinction of becoming the first ever female Vice President of investment banking at Merrill Lynch, which is no small feat. She has now moved on from banking and has taken over the lingerie world, as well as making a name for herself in the aforementioned home and fragrance industries, as well as ready-to-wear and eyewear.

Through it all, Josie Natori never forgets to give back and though Natori is the last name of her husband, it is also the name of a coastal city in Japan. With the recent earthquakes and tsunami there, Natori has suffered massive amounts of destruction, with nothing left along the coast but a desolate field of thick mud. There are also still threats of a nuclear crisis, as well as the need to restore, electricity, treat the injured and so much more. The Natori Company wants to aid Japan and has decided to donate 10% of all sales from www.Natori.com and www.JosiebyNatori.com through the end of April to the Red Cross disaster relief effort.

“We are incredibly saddened by the tremendous suffering in Japan caused by the earthquake and its aftereffects,” said Josie Natori, CEO and founder of The Natori Company. “Though we only share a name with the city of Natori, we are committed to providing as much support as we can to help the relief effort in Natori and throughout the country.”

Here are some of my picks on what you can buy from the brands for Spring to help give back.

A kimono-style dress is one of the most elegant and beautiful silhouettes, so try the Senja Dress ($495) in an eye-popping lime. Wraps can be worn around the house, in the office or over a simple ensemble. The Shanghai Dragon Wrap ($88) is absolutely stunning in a statement-making print. Oversized earrings are my favorite accessories and the Horn Bead Earrings ($150) will add a touch of glam to any outfit.
