Must-Shop: Vena Cava’s New E-Commerce Site

Spring is just a few days away and with it the desire for some fun new additions to your wardrobe. Vena Cava has had the fashionable set from hello, with their fun and flirty collections that blend downtown cool, femininity and functionality.

Today marks the launch of the design duo’s new e-commerce shop which will give their legion of fans a chance to purchase directly from their website. Dresses, tops, bottoms and accessories are category options, as well as the Garage Sale category. It is by far my favorite because it features super cool things that you can’t get anywhere else and the choices are handpicked by Sophie Buhai and Lisa Mayock including: a Vintage Viva Magazine from the 1970’s ($20), a 1990’s Leather Baby Backpack which is so 90210 and perfect for summer ($90), Debbie Harry’s debut solo album Koo Koo ($20) and so much more. Just think that all of these great finds are under $100.

Another cool feature is Vibes which shows Sophie and Lisa’s friends modeling Vena Cava for everyday wear.

Speaking of everyday wear, here are two of my favorite Vena Cava picks and how to wear them.

Tom Ford’s True Coral Private Blend Lip Color ($45) is my absolute favorite and I wear it once a week at least. It gives every ensemble a pop of color and moisturizes your lips as well. The Industrial Dress ($395) is one of my favorites from the Spring 2011 collection and it is perfect for both work and play in an easy yet feminine silhouette. Understated is the way to go once temperatures start to rise and there’s no better way to achieve that look for under $100 than with Antik Batik’s Uta Set of Bracelets ($70). Sky high wedges are all I need for the Spring and Summer and Pour La Victoire has a great patent leather pair in the Jessie Cork Wedge Sandals ($250).

A turban is a must-have accessory right now and Jennifer Behr’s Suede Knotted ($265) style is perfect to wear with most any ensemble. ModCloth’s Coral Values Heels ($39.99) are perfect if you want a red heel for the season, but do not want to go the traditional route. Overalls are not just for the farm anymore and the Palm Overalls ($495) are crafted from silk crepe de chine and feature a tic-tac-toe print and leg tabs for cuff-rolling. Equipment’s Signature Sleeveless Shirt ($178) in white will be your new wardrobe staple and is airy and relaxed for perfect warm weather dressing.
