It’s hard to know where to put your attention right now, as the Couture shows have come to close, NYFW is on the horizon, and awards season is underway. It has been a few weeks since the Christian Dior Spring 2017 Couture hit the runway, but I’m still drooling over it. Quite literally might I add.
The collection was Maria Grazia Chiuri’s first Couture assortment, set in the stunning Musée Rodin. “I don’t want to lose the idea of dreaming, she told Vogue.com. “But I do want to make it possible for couture to be wearable.”
Butterfly, dragonfly, insect, and bird-motif masks created by genius Stephen Jones adorned the models’s faces, while sheer swiss dot flats, mules, and booties anchored the looks in whimsical sublimity.
I’m almost close to average height, but I’m obsessed with longer hemlines! The tea and ankle-grazing lengths in this collection spoke to my vintage-loving soul.
With awards season in full swing, I expect to see Natalie Portman, Kate Hudson, Diane Kruger, and Naomie Harris in one of these stunning gowns.
