Long work nights and dinners with friends have only made it possible for me to see bits and pieces from the new episodes of Gossip Girl. Tragic right? Well no matter how many episodes I might have missed, I have made sure to keep up with the fashion on the show and naturally, it never disappoints.
Leighton Meester was seen in character as Blair Waldorf, out and about in New York City. She was seen in classic Blair attire: Upper East Side ladies who lunch to the max. Shades of blue were the look du jour including a cobalt blue bow-detailed hat, Diane von Furstenberg’s Milford Jacket in lagoon, a blue floral sheath, a navy blue shoulder bag and sheer blue tights. A monochromatic look done oh so well. This is a great look for the office and would go straight into night perfectly.
Crafted from cozy alpaca, the Milford Jacket is a fabulous way to make a statement for Fall. I am a fan of a coat with a shorter sleeve and this piece has just that, making it perfect for layering over cardigans and other warm sweaters. It was styled as a monochromatic look on the runway, thus Blair’s ensemble just built on that with a Waldorf spin.
