I am a huge dog lover and most people who know me well are attune to that fact. Though I might take slight pleasure from dressing my dog up from time to time or buying him cold-weather necessities, I haven’t quite felt the need to display that love on an article of clothing. Until now.
Heidi Klum was seen out and about with her children in Los Angeles. Despite the very endearing scene, the supermodel mom went for a very fierce look, rocking Balenciaga’s Black Maille Intarsia Dog Printed Round Neck Sweater from the brand’s Pre-Fall 2011 collection. She paired it with jeans and cuffed brown platform boots for a great casual ensemble. With the temperature in NYC today at the lowest it has hit since Fall has began, I cannot help but love this look and wish I had a sweater like this to rock for cold weather. It is definitely edgy and a bit on the kitschy side (considering how clothing with animal graphics are considered pretty dated and unfashionable), but I like that Nicolas Ghesquière isn’t afraid to take a fashion risk and clearly neither is Heidi Klum.
Though a splurge, you can wear the sweater a number of ways from casual like Heidi’s look to a night out with leather shorts and pumps.
