Across the pond, Eliza Doolittle is kind of a big deal. The British singer/songwriter is just twenty-three years old, with her self-titled debut album going platinum in the UK and her single “Pack Up” reaching top five on the UK singles chart. Not to mention, she is becoming a favorite of high-end fashion brands for her quirky and whimsical style.
At Christopher Kane’s Spring 2012 London Fashion Week show, Eliza went all-bright in a neon orange denim jacket and neon pink denim shorts, both from J Brand/Christopher Kane’s upcoming Resort 2012 collection. Underneath her jacket, she threw on a rainbow-striped sweater from Christopher Kane’s namesake Resort 2012 line. I am a girl who loves brights: I am currently wearing turquoise chandelier earrings and a floral dress despite the onset of Fall. Eliza’s ensemble screams Spring, but could easily be altered for colder temperatures if her shorts were changed to skinnies.
The J Brand/Christopher Kane Resort 2012 collection is one of the most anticipated collaborations of the year so I truly cannot wait to see what both brands have created and who will be wearing the pieces next.
