As you might already know, Tika Sumpter is one of my new favorite style stars. I have been waiting to see her in a fashion spread and it seems that I am now getting my wish.
Today, she and La La Anthony are amidst a high-fashion photoshoot for Vibe Magazine and they both have been tweeting sneak peeks. “70’s chic” is how Tika described the theme of the shoot and it is evident in her floppy hat and long sleek hair, as well as La La’s fur and shearling coat. I am also loving the palette, which so far is taking on rich autumnal shades including burnt orange and rustic browns. Texture is always big for Fall and that also seems to be in play with suede, wool and fur.
No set date as to which issue will include this lovely spread but I am sure it will be before year’s end.
