If you aren’t able to make the sale, you can still get your dose of Lela Rose by getting a look at the Fall 2011 collection. Lela was inspired by German visual artist Gerhard Richter and used his abstract designs and newspaper paintings to create the prints featured on so many of her pieces. Patterns were an integral part of the collection and my favorites were mixed: a cropped houndstooth jacket worn over an abstract dot blouse worn on R’el Dade. Femininity is inherent to the Lela Rose brand and that was visibly evident in girlish silhouettes and glamorous detailing and fabrics including feathers on Tayane Leão Melo and lamé on Gracie Carvalho.
