Santigold is no stranger to risk-taking high-fashion pieces and she stepped out in a Houndstooth Top and Skirt from Marni’s Spring 2012 collection at the 2012 Party in the Garden Benefit at the Museum of Modern Art.
Her royal blue tonal houndstooth top and skirt are quite covered and give me a very vintage feel. Her panel-constructed top features three-quarter length sleeves and a set of darts on both sides. Her knee-length skirt features pleated detailing. Marni is not for the faint of heart and is far from the bodycon dresses that most celebrities flock to for events, but I wouldn’t expect anything less from Santigold. I love the top and think it would look great with everything from colored skinnies to a black pencil skirt and sky-high pumps.
