Zoe Kravitz Covers ASOS’ July 2011 Festival Issue

Zoe Kravitz is rock royalty. As the daughter of Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet, she was pretty much destined from birth to be gorgeous, have killer style and be the world’s next super talented badass. Despite her cooler than average genes, Zoe has made a name for herself that doesn’t just live in the shadow of her parents. She is a style maven, an actress, a singer and so much more.

Despite her success, she despises the term “It” girl and would prefer not to be labeled as such (even though she definitely already has been): “All that ‘it girl’ shit makes me kind of uncomfortable. I’m only at
the beginning of my career, but I feel successful in that I haven’t
sold out in any way, shape or form. I feel good about the choices
I’ve made and I don’t feel like I’ve let go of any of my values.
Fame has become this obsession for people, which kind of creeps me
 out.”

Zoe really is a style star and ASOS dresses her in pieces that perfectly fit her unique high-fashion style.

She frequently borrows clothes from her parents, though at one time she was just completely confused and embarrassed by their fashion choices (weren’t we all?): “I used to be a little embarrassed by how she and my
dad would dress…but now I steal their clothes all
 the time.”

I love seeing Zoe featured in magazines and I hope that with the release of X-Men: The First Class on Friday, she will be seen on the covers of many more.

Her style is so original and there is something so authentic and real about her (much like her parents).
